The Milsig M17 G3 Less-Lethal (LL) Launcher is a Gen 3, mechanically driven .68 caliber platform originally engineered for government and professional users and now available to the private sector where permitted. Designed for reliability in demanding environments, the G3 LL prioritizes durability, simplicity, and consistent high-energy output.

Unlike paintball variants, the M17 G3 LL operates using a fully mechanical, unregulated blow-forward (direct air flow) system. There is no onboard regulator and no velocity adjustment, with output factory-set at 30+ joules for less-lethal training and operational use. Fire mode is semi-automatic only, improving reliability and consistency in LL configurations.

The launcher accepts .68 caliber round or shaped projectiles and feeds from either the included 18/19-round Gen 3 magazine or optional 32-round Tempest drum magazine. Hopper feeding is also supported when required, providing flexibility across training and scenario applications.

Built around the proven Heat Core design, the G3 LL features tool-less 2-pin takedown, allowing rapid maintenance in dirty, wet, or high-use environments. The reinforced polymer composite receiver integrates steel reinforcements in critical stress areas, delivering exceptional durability without unnecessary weight.

A free-floating metal M-Lok handguard provides modular mounting for accessories, while the interchangeable AR-15 style grip allows users to tailor ergonomics to their preference. The included A5 threaded smooth-bore barrel supports user-preferred barrel options for mission-specific tuning.

The Gen 3 redesign introduces a headless, low-profile magazine, improved feed geometry, and a reinforced magwell, resulting in smoother feeding and increased long-term durability over previous generations.
