This basic handguard is based on the ones used long before the Picatinny rail system was conceived, so this particular handguard does not include a rail interface system (RIS). However, this handguard is substantially lighter than many RIS enabled handguards, so if weight reduction is on the top of your priority list, this choice of handguard will serve you very well.
